The Beacon Sloop Club (Maintenance)
Winter Maintenance 2007 - 2008 Season

Gigi Fris has agreed to be the Sloop Woody Guthrie's Winter  Maintenance Coordinators for the 2007 - 2008 winter maintenance season. The scope of this seasons' maintenance is to replace blocks, lines, centerboard, batteries and mounting of the foredeck cleats. We also need to address the repair of several frames, butt blocks, centerboard truck rot as well as recaulking the hull and locating any likely leaks. We may not have time to address replacement of the cabin top and replacement of the centerboard trunk but may look at replacement or repair of the seating benches although it is not considered a priority. The Woody is at Whites Marina where she usually spends the winter. We have already started our maintenance activities.
Please note that all Woody sailors are expected to contribute 30 hours or more towards the maintenance effort.
