The Beacon Sloop Club (Maintenance)
Winter/Spring Maintenance 2008 - 2009 Season

The Sloop Woody Guthrie's Winter/Spring  Maintenance Coordinator for the 2008 - 2009 winter/spring maintenance season, Gigi Fris has successfully completed the major goals set out for this year. We replace the centerboard board trunk, batteries, repaired issues with the motor, repaired the starboard rubrail. We also recaulked the hull below the waterline, made some repairs to the cabin top as well as the yearly maintenance tasks that keep the boat looking and working so well. All of the work was done at Whites Marina in New Hamburg where the Woody usually spends the winter.

P.S. Gigi has also agreed to coordinate the summer 2009 maintenance activites!

Please note that all Woody sailors are expected to contribute 30 hours or more towards the maintenance effort each year.
